IT Support Technician – Advatix LATAM

Responsibilities- Installs, configures, and provides ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software within established standards and guidelines.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Works with Help Desk and Network Operations personnel as appropriate to determine and resolve problems received from users.
- Interacts with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered server environment.
- Ensures desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems, including validation systems, file servers, e‑mail servers, conferencing systems, application servers, and administrative systems.
- Trains and orients staff on the use of hardware and software.
- Maintains and upgrades computer systems or offers recommendations on upgrades needed.
- Maintains other computer peripheral devices, suchokable printers, and resolves printing problems if they arise.
- Collaborates with procurement staff to purchase hardware, software, and computer supplies.
- Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases.
- Assists medizin maintaining LAN/WAN records and, as appropriate, telephone system cable.
- Supports and maintains all corporate quality standards, policies, procedures, and work instructions as outlined in the company quality system documentation.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by preventing occurrences of nonconformities related to product, process, and quality systems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate’s Degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of related work experience.
- Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft XP Professional/Windows 7 Professional, MS Office, Adobe, and MS Exchange 2007.
- Solid understanding of desktop hardware.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of increasingly complex computer hardware and peripheral devices purchased from a variety of vendors.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and ability to deal effectively with clients.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Problem‑analysis and solving abilities.
