The Dental Center of South Bend (Adult Care) is looking for a Patient Service Representative in South Bend, Indiana to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. We prioritize comprehensive, personalized care in a warm and welcoming setting, focusing on patient comfort and advanced treatments for optimal oral health.
Position OverviewThis position is ideal for someone with a passion for outstanding customer service, a willingness to learn, and interest in starting a career in the dental field. The person will support all staff members and patients in the office. Responsibilities include answering phones, handling patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and assisting with the completion of patients’ treatment plans through acceptable financial arrangements while remaining flexible to requests and projects assigned by other staff and/or the Office Manager.

- Pay: min $18 - max $20 per hour

Responsibilities- Customer service: greet patients upon arrival and at dismissal
- Respond to patient questions and/or concerns according to DCA policies
- Answer telephones
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain and confirm the appointment book
- Follow up on no-shows/cancellations
- Register patients on sign-in sheet
- Post charges and payments to patient accounts
- Check voicemail daily
- Maintain a clean and friendly waiting area for patients
- Experience in a dental, medical, or other health-care office, preferred
- Knowledge of insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is a plus
- Experience answering telephone calls
- Exceptional customer service skills
