We are currently seeking a PRN Van Driver to cover St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties. The starting pay rate is $16.00.
Primary Duties- Will provide transportation for Oaklawn clients at South Bend, Elkhart and Goshen campuses.
- Will drive in and around St Joseph and Elkhart Counties.
- Will have regular contact with the coordinator of transportation, to receive work assignments and discuss any unusual problems or concerns regarding clients or the transportation function.
- Will interact daily with clients and routinely with staff of other programs or departments to arrange transportation for their clients.
- High School education or GED preferred.
- In absence of High School Diploma or GED equivalent, the position requires previous 1 year experience in Transportation/Driving.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- For Hire Endorsement (FOR HIRE – NON CMV ONLY is required.
- Must have a safe driving record.
- Must pass a driving test, facilitated by Oaklawn.
An individual will be excluded from consideration for employment for positions which require him/her to drive clients if any of the following violations appear on his/her driving record:
- Driving under the influence/Operating while Intoxicated (DUI/OWI) in the past three years
- Reckless Driving in the past three years
- License is currently suspended
- No Proof of Financial Responsibility in the past three years
- More than three moving violations in the past three years
