Revenue Cycle Team Lead

Overview

Must reside within 30 miles of South Bend and be able to visit client sites and our South Bend office throughout the week.

Are you a revenue cycle professional who loves leading teams, solving complex billing challenges, and making a real impact in healthcare? Orthos is looking for a Revenue Cycle Team Lead to guide and support our back-end revenue cycle team and help ensure the healthcare practices we serve are reimbursed accurately and on time.

In this role, you’ll blend hands-on revenue cycle expertise with people leadership driving efficiency, reducing claim holds, and easing administrative burdens so providers can focus more on patient care.

• Team Leadership & Support:
  Provide daily guidance, coaching, and training to a team of Patient Account Representatives
• Team Leadership & Support:
  Monitor workloads, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Support:
  Foster a collaborative, positive team environment focused on growth and continuous improvement
• Team Leadership & Support:
  Support staff in resolving challenging claim issues and escalate to leadership when needed
• Team Leadership & Support:
  Assist with onboarding and mentoring new team members
• Revenue Cycle Operations:
  Triage and assign claims returned for more information or placed on hold
• Revenue Cycle Operations:
  Track and report held claims, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
• Revenue Cycle Operations:
  Partner with leadership to implement process improvements that reduce claim holds and improve A/R performance
• Revenue Cycle Operations:
  Personally handle complex or high-dollar claim remediation as needed
• Revenue Cycle Operations:
  Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Coding, Billing, and Pre-Certification teams to resolve process bottlenecks
• Revenue Cycle Operations:
  Ensure adherence to revenue cycle procedures and best practices

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred, not required)
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, or collections
• Prior experience in a lead or senior role within a revenue cycle team (preferred)
• Strong understanding of healthcare billing processes, insurance requirements, and revenue cycle regulations
• Proficiency with EMR and billing systems
• Excellent problem-solving and cross-department collaboration skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
