- Location: South Bend, IN 46601 (Indiana nursing jobs)
- Unit: 7th Floor Intermediate Cardiac/Stroke Unit
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- Shifts: 3x12 Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Patient Ratio: 1:5
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue or White
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Indiana or compact state; pending accepted, must be active prior to start)
- Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or stroke nursing experience (2 years preferred)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and response (must pass Tele Rhythm Identification Quiz)
- Experience managing cardiac drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lasix)
- Ability to float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
- Experience with Cerner electronic charting
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of South Bend, Indiana
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced intermediate cardiac/stroke unit
- Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and changes in patient condition
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips according to protocols
- Care for patients requiring hemodialysis (HD performed by external provider)
- Provide all modes of oxygenation except mechanical ventilation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Social Services
- Float to similar units within the hospital or affiliated Indiana healthcare facilities as needed
- Maintain professional conduct and adhere to hospital and nursing policies
