Job OverviewFull‑time position located in Niles, MI. The Level 1 BCBA will be a staff member in Child & Adolescent Services, focusing on training and supporting front‑line staff implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs through supervision and program development.
Primary responsibilities include developing and supervising behavior and treatment plans, providing direct therapy when needed, supervising technicians, completing assessments, handling insurance/billing processes, maintaining client relationships, and supporting a safe center environment.
Essential Functions- Lead by example, displaying timeliness in arrival, work completion, and treatment plan submission.
- Complete treatment plan reviews with insurance companies (when needed).
- Conduct assessments for assigned clients.
- Develop, monitor, and modify implementation of treatment plans.
- Present treatment plans to insurance providers to secure authorization.
- Supervise Behavior Technicians on implementing high‑quality ABA programs.
- Provide direct therapy for clients as required.
- Develop effective behavior plans.
- Receive crisis prevention training and supervise its implementation.
- Assist in intakes when requested.
- Ensure a safe and healthy center environment.
- Provide billing information to the accounting department accurately and on time.
- Learn insurance codes and billing necessities for accurate updates.
- Maintain respectful relationships with families and uphold professional boundaries.
- Demonstrate cultural competency in providing high‑quality services to diverse backgrounds.
- Conduct parent meetings as assigned.
- Meet supervision requirements per approved treatment plans.
- Assist in interviews for new hires.
- Recommend and support home programs to reinforce ABA initiatives.
- Assist Lead Behavior Technicians with daily coverage assignments.
- Maintain a Level 1 caseload of 7 full‑time equivalent clients at center‑based sites or 5 at community‑based sites.
- Ensure health & safety of individuals served.
- Represent LOGAN positively in the community.
- Advocate for dignity & human rights of individuals served.
- Model excellent employee practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field.
- Certified as a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Credentialed with all insurance and Medicaid payors.
- Licensed Behavior Analyst in the state(s) of service, if required.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, including assessment and treatment.
- Experience developing and conducting training for various audiences.
- Credentials to become state licensed when applicable.
- Excellent communication with families and professionals.
- Proficient in computer use.
- Physical ability to sit, kneel, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs during intervention.
