Job Title: Part‑Time Lunchroom Assistant
Location: Christ the King Catholic School – South Bend, IN
Schedule: Part‑Time, Monday–Friday (approximately 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Start Date: August 2025

Position Summary:Christ the King Catholic School is seeking a reliable and energetic individual to assist our Lunch Director in serving daily meals to students in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This part‑time role is ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, supporting children, and being part of a faith‑centered school community.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lunch Director with meal preparation and food service
• Serve lunches to students in an organized and efficient manner
• Help set up and clean food service areas before, during, and after lunch
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation procedures are followed
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning kitchen equipment as needed
• Provide light supervision and assistance to students in the lunch line
• Support a positive, team‑based kitchen environment

Qualifications:

• Friendly, dependable, and able to work in a fast‑paced setting
• Comfortable handling food and working in a kitchen environment
• Ability to follow basic instructions and safety guidelines
• Must complete Diocesan Safe Environment training (can be completed upon hire)
• Experience in food service or school kitchen settings is helpful but not required
