About the Role:
We are hiring a Data Center Safety Coordinator to join a growing mission-critical infrastructure team supporting a major hyperscale data center site in South Bend, Indiana. In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Safety Manager and help enforce environmental health and safety (EHS) procedures across structured cabling and construction activities within an active data center build environment.
This is a boots-on-the-ground safety role ideal for someone with prior experience supporting data center or commercial construction safety programs.
Responsibilities- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on-site
- Enforce OSHA and company-specific safety protocols
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions
- Maintain safety logs, reports, and records in compliance with local and federal standards
- Monitor confined space activities, elevated work operations, and material handling procedures
- Coordinate with field techs, project managers, and general contractors to maintain safe work zones
- 3-5 years of safety experience in construction, data centers, or structured cabling environments
- Valid OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Hands-on training or certification in:
- Confined space awareness
- Forklift and MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform)
- First Aid/CPR
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, field-oriented mindset
- Comfortable working in high-paced, evolving job site environments
- Familiarity with low voltage/structured cabling projects
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure/Meta DC construction protocols is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish Language
