Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry13-Week Contract Assignment | Day Shift
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing for a 13-week day shift assignment. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical interventions.
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift (typically 12-hour shifts)
Schedule: 36–40 hours per week (may include weekends/holidays as required)
Start Date: TBD
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac rhythms and telemetry data
Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
Document patient care accurately and in compliance with facility policies
Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations
Required QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact license, as applicable)
Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification preferred (may be required by facility)
Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred QualificationsPrior travel or contract nursing experience
Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
