Salary: $5,608.00 – $7,379.00 per month (Class A/B). New to state candidates receive the minimum salary of the classification or the alternate range minimum.

Job Description & DutiesPerform mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in firefighting disaster response and emergency medical response. Work may involve: walking or running on uneven, rough terrain; remaining on duty 24+ hours without a break; working nights, weekends, or holidays; and extended overnight travel throughout the state.
Minimum Requirements- Class A or B Commercial Driver License with Tank (N) and Passenger (P) endorsements and no restriction for air brakes or standard transmission (within 6 months probation).
- Pass drug screening, background investigation, and medical clearance for respiratory protection (annual medical evaluation including vision, hearing, spirometry, and treadmill tests).
- Obtain adequate medical clearance and be fit‑tested for SCBA and other respiratory protection.
- Already hold or will obtain a Class A or B CDL with Tank (N) and Passenger (P) endorsements and no air‑brakes restriction.
