Farmer’s Market Sales Associate

Do you have a passion for local, organic food and fresh flowers? Looking to pick up some extra shifts on the weekend? Are you an outgoing morning person who thrives in front of customers? Cassidy Ranch is hiring a farmer’s market associate to help represent us at select farmer’s markets around Napa and Sonoma.

We currently have an immediate need for a Farmers Market Sales Associate on Saturday mornings at the Napa Farmer’s Market. Additional shifts including the Sonoma Farmer’s Market on Friday mornings and hours working at our farm shop in Sonoma are also available.

Cassidy Ranch is an organic farm and winery growing over 100 varieties of fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Our products are sold locally at select farmer’s markets, through an onsite farm shop, and at select local restaurants.

Applicants must have a valid and clean US driver’s license with no moving violations in the last two years, and be comfortable driving a pickup truck to and from the market. Applicants should have reliable personal transportation to/from work shifts starting in Sonoma, but a company vehicle will be used for all other work travel. Applicants should be able to lift 40-50 lbs several times a day and manage the setup and takedown of the market both.

Pay for this position is $25/hour

• Applicants should have reliable personal transportation to/from work shifts starting in Sonoma, but a company vehicle will be used for all other work travel
• Previous experience in retail sales or retail environments is preferred.
• Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Familiarity with product demos and the ability to convey product information clearly.
• A proactive approach to selling, with a demonstrated ability to upsell products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Applicants should speak fluent and conversational English
• Applicants should be able to lift 40-50 lbs several times a day

• Pay for this position is $25/hour
• Market Sales Associates are also given a weekly farm allowance that may be used towards fresh flowers or produce

• Shifts on Market days include load in at our farm in Sonoma anywhere between around 6:30am or 8am depending on market assigned, driving to markets (Napa and Sonoma), setup, sales and operation, tear down, driving back to the shop, and end-of-day breakdown
• Sales associates work independently once they have completed their training
• Most workdays are complete by 1pm
