Overview

the girl & the fig in Sonoma is currently seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team. We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, including the girl & the fig in Sonoma,
Poppy in Glen Ellen,
the girl & the fig CATERS!, Suite D, and our FIGfood product line. We strive to use the best in local, sustainable food, and we continually develop many in-house programs to promote those ideals. Please visit us online at  for more information.

• Bartenders work directly under their supervisors and are responsible for preparing the restaurant for service, providing bar service during their shift, controlling liquor and wine cost, and ensuring consistency in our beverage program.

• Able to guide guests through our menu to create an exceptional dining experience
• Detail-oriented, friendly, and possess a true passion for hospitality, great food, wine and spirits
• A positive individual and enjoy working in a fast paced environment

• Share our passion for food, wine and hospitality with each individual who walks through our doors
• Create a welcoming and positive guest experience
• Prepare the bar for service and maintain a bar layout that is esthetically pleasing and efficient
• Ensure consistency in our beverage program and uphold proper pours of wine and liquor
• Uphold all ABC laws
• Communicate menu details to guests
• Access all functions in the POS system

• Ability to provide or complete CA Food Handler Certification and renew as necessary
• Ability to provide or completed RBS Certification and renew as necessary
• Applicable experience in fine dining and as a Bartender

• Ability to lift 50lbs and regularly move items between 10-20lbs
• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Part-time or full-time positions available
• Hourly wage for this position is $20 + gratuities
