the girl & the fig in Sonoma is currently seeking an experienced restaurant Server to join our team.

We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, which includes the girl & the fig in Sonoma,
Poppy in Glen Ellen,

Our Servers provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests.

• Welcoming guests
• Giving detailed explanations to the guest of additions or changes to the menu
• Making recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
• Answering questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services
• Taking food and beverage orders from guests and entering orders in our POS system
• Assisting in delivering food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
• Performing side work at the start and end of each shift as required
• Maintaining clean service areas
• Monitoring guests dining experience
• Ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service
• Responding promptly and courteously to any requests
• Preparing final bill, presenting check to guest, accepting payment, processing credit card charges
• Assisting fellow servers as situations arise
• Assisting bus person with clearing and resetting tables
• Thanking guests for their visit and invite them to return

• Our ideal candidate is professional, knowledgeable about food and wine, and able to provide friendly and responsible service to our guests
• Ability to provide or complete CA Food Handler Certification and renew as necessary
• Ability to provide or completed RBS Certification and renew as necessary
• General restaurant knowledge and a minimum of 1 year experience as a Server in a fine dining restaurant environment
• Physical demands: Must be able to lift 50lbs and regularly move items between 10-20lbs, be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop, and be able to stand more than 90% of time during work shift

• Part-time or Full-time
• Hourly wage for Server is $18.47 + gratuities
