Dietary Aide (Food Services)
General PurposeThe dietary aide's assignments are determined based on the activity of the shift. He/she reports to the Cook and Dietary Supervisor.
Essential DutiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QualificationsEducation and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Language SkillsAbility to read technical procedures and follow recipes. Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust obtain and maintain a food handler's certificate.
Physical DemandsRequires standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling frequently, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other physical activities. Good vision and focus are necessary.
Work EnvironmentThe environment is usually low to moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations can be made for individuals with disabilities.
