ExecutiveDirector – How You Will Make an Impact
- Become a magnet for fundraising by inspiring individual, corporate, and foundation donors to get involved.
- Deepen and grow donor relationships through thoughtful cultivation, stewardship, and community presence
- Activate new fundraising opportunities by opening doors to grants, sponsor ships, and strategic partnerships
- Translate fundraising success into real-world impact by guiding resources toward programs that get kids excited about reading
- Lead a small nonprofit team with positivity and clarity, keeping the mission visible in day-to-day work
- Oversee the day-to-day administrative and delivery functions, building efficient systems that drive literacy initiatives forward and produce measurable outcomes.
- Partner closely with a supportive board to align fundraising strategy, organizational growth goals, and long-term planning
- A track record of cultivating and stewarding individual donors and corporate partners
- Hands-on involvement with grant fundraising or foundation support
- Background managing nonprofit operations with a practical, small-organization mindset
- History of working collaboratively with a board of directors
- A deep, authentic passion for children’s literacy and educational equity
- A warm, upbeat presence that builds trust with donors, coworkers, and kids
- A drive to build community engagement
- Bilingual Spanish skills (a strong plus)
- Prior experience with an education non-profit
Your compensation for this Executive Director role will be $95,000 to $110,000
, with bonus opportunity. You will receive medical and dental benefits, paid holidays, vacation time, and Cal Savers retirement. This Executive Director position offers a hybrid work structure based in Sonoma County, with community and donor engagement across Northern California.
