We are looking for a Programs Director & General Manager to work onsite at our Fairfield, California facility. You will have P&L responsibilities for the propulsion business and the Fairfield site. The scope of responsibility spans across strategic and tactical elements and include profit and loss management. You will lead a team of program management professionals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for profit/loss ownership and for working with all functions to meet dynamic sales, profit, and cash goals and to improve productivity and recovery on delinquent deliveries while ensuring execution of the annual 5-year business plan to meet commitments.

What You Will Do
  • Partner at multiple levels within the enterprise to capture business and ensure execution success
  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Execute program growth strategies for domestic and international growth
  • Understand and represent customer needs to leadership while building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and key suppliers
  • Coordinate and align interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers and other primes
  • Attract, retain, supervise, and develop talent
  • Travel to support business engagements
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
  • Program management or project management experience leading US government and/or international contracts
  • Experience leading proposal capture activities
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, financial forecast, and technical performance for programs using Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, or similar business
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and reporting out to executive stakeholders
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong executive level relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experience with high rate, high mix manufacturing oversight
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experience working with customers on government programs with complexity requiring direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Experience developing and implementing execution, coordination, and growth strategies
