This is an entry‑level role with paid training provided—RBT certification costs are fully covered. The position covers multiple locations including Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Petaluma, Rohnert Park, Windsor and Cloverdale.

Pay Range

Base pay: $21.00/hr – $24.00/hr.

Compensation: $21–$24/hour, based on experience. Pay increases after you obtain your RBT certification.

What You’ll Do

As a Behavior Technician at BTS you’ll work 1:1 with children with autism or developmental delays, building communication, social, play and daily living skills through structured, play‑based activities. Sessions take place in the child’s home, clinic or school, lasting 2–3 hours. Your caseload is tailored to fit your availability and matched to age groups you’re comfortable with, from toddlers to teens.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver one‑on‑one behavior support through fun, individualized activities.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Collect and record data on client progress accurately.
  • Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and support.
  • Participate in ongoing training, team meetings and supervision sessions.

Qualifications
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children.
  • Experience with children or individuals with disabilities is an advantage but not required.
  • Highly preferred:
    Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or a related field.
  • RBT certification is a plus; we provide full coverage for obtaining it.
  • Spanish‑speaking is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
  • Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
  • CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding).
  • Tuberculosis test within 90 days, MMR & Varicella immunization and a pre‑employment physical within the past year.
  • Background check (FBI & DOJ).
