During the first two years of the probationary period, the instructional assignment will be reduced by two courses per academic year for probationary faculty members, in order to assist in establishing their programs of research, scholarship, and/or creative activities, and carrying out other activities that would support them in meeting the requirements for retention, tenure, and promotion.

Having surpassed our 50th year of educating nurses in this community, we are proud to be acknowledged in the top 10 Nursing programs in the country. The School offers a variety of campus-based programs, fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). These include a traditional pre‑licensure BSN, post‑licensure BSN, and MSN‑Family Nurse Practitioner, requiring a full spectrum of teaching content and expertise across multiple modalities.
