• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and ensures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Maintain safety in practice and apply evidence-based practice principles; communicate with and utilize resource persons and programs available to advance knowledge within the patient care team.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care to address a specific patient's needs as an independent practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• Previous Acute Care Experience

• BLS Certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Evening shift, 36 hours per week

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
