RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Emergency Department at the Somerset campus.

Required:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

• BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire
• Previous Acute Care Experience

• BLS Certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

• Evening shift, 36 hours per week

• The Registered Nurse provides nursing care in the health care system within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards and adheres to the ANA code of ethics.
• Maintain safety in practice and use evidence-based approaches; communicate with and utilize resources to advance knowledge for the patient care team.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with appropriate interventions and measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient.
