About Our Program:

Since 1948, Easterseals New Jersey has worked to meet the continuously growing needs of people with disabilities and their families. Its services for individuals with mental health conditions provide daily living support and community-based programs that teach valuable life skills through instruction and real-world experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee daily operations across multiple residential sites, ensuring compliance with licensing standards.
  • Manage the residential budget, staff schedules, and overtime.
  • Monitor fiscal, medical, and personal documentation for accuracy.
  • Participate in Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT) meetings and Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP) development.
  • Prepare and submit monthly operational reports.
  • Ensure accurate documentation to meet consumers' needs (employment, recreational, emotional).

What You'll Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mental health, psychology, sociology, social work, or a related field from an accredited college or university
    OR
    a combination of 1+ years of college and at least4 years
    of related work/life experience in direct care
    OR
    a high school diploma or GED and at least4 years
    of related work/life experience in
    direct care required.
  • At least 1 year experience in a mental health group home setting
    required.
  • At least 1 year of management experience
    required.
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including working with individuals with mental illness.
  • Intermediate computer skills including the ability to complete documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Valid driver’s licenseand an acceptable driving record.
  • Knowledge of state/local regulations.
