Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Branchburg, New Jersey. This role involves overseeing key financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general ledger management, reconciliations, and payroll operations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and ensuring timely reporting.

- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.

- Perform account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records.

- Utilize Quick Books Online for financial transactions and reporting.

- Collaborate with the payroll team to oversee payroll processing and ensure proper accounting using ADP.

- Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management.

- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and resolving inquiries.

- Work closely with other departments to ensure financial alignment and streamline processes. Requirements

- Proven experience in accounting roles, particularly with month-end close processes.

- Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and performing reconciliations.

- Advanced knowledge of Quick Books Online and its functionalities.

- Familiarity with payroll systems, specifically ADP.

- Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data and generating reports.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
