Overview

GM and Food (General Merchandise, Closing, Fulfillment, Inbound, Food and Beverage, Starbucks) role  General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for General Merchandise areas of the store. The team conducts inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing processes to enable an efficient guest experience. Responsibilities include supporting pick, pack and ship fulfillment work and ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor.

• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to assist with specific needs and provide solutions.
• Thank guests and acknowledge their visit to Target.
• Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and put up promotional signs for GM areas as directed.
• Operate power equipment to move merchandise or store fixtures if certified.
• Execute processes including price changes, merchandise setup and maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
• Learn how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
• Be knowledgeable about resources, products, and services available in the total store and in your area to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking and packing orders, delivering pickup orders) while complying with applicable laws.
• All other duties based on business needs.

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Capable of climbing ladders and handling merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
• Flexible schedule with reliable attendance; able to work in varying temperatures and conditions as required by job duties.
