As a world‑leader in scientific innovation with a history of over 200 years and 13 Nobel Laureates, MGB seeks an exceptional Product Manager, Digital Research Data to join its Digital Research Operations team.
Job SummaryAt Mass General Brigham Digital, we create maximum strategic, clinical, and operational value from established and emerging technologies for patients, care teams, researchers, and employees. Digital health enhances equity and efficiency while making medicine more personalized and precise. The Digital Research Operations function—created in 2023—enables and accelerates biomedical research by providing technology and data services to researchers and investigators.
The Product Manager will help define the long‑term research products vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the MGB Research Strategic Plan. Initial focus is the i2b2 Research Application, an open‑source clinical data warehouse and analytics platform used at over 250 locations worldwide. Other responsibilities include making additional clinical and research data resources available to enterprise research and supporting MGB Diversified Business and AI teams.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study required
- Equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
- Product Management and/or Product Owner Certification preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in a product management or product development role with team‑lead duties required
- Excellent understanding of the industry landscape (competitors and partners)
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to communicate technology strategy and architecture to engineers, executives, and customers; proficiency in conflict management, negotiation, and presentation/demonstration
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent team and relationship building abilities with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain keen attention to detail
- Agile/Scrum experience preferred
- Help define, plan, and execute the research data products strategy, business case, and vision for Digital Research Data solutions, focusing on technical trends and researcher needs
- Understand relevant Digital Research markets, competition, and user requirements; identify high‑value opportunities with users
- Lead product design and development for innovative solutions; create and maintain the research data products roadmap, manage related product launches and subsequent release cycles
- Work collaboratively with researchers, data scientists, software engineering, infrastructure and high‑performance computing experts, and business development in cross‑functional teams on cutting‑edge technologies
- Adhere to and support a quality management framework
- Perform other duties as assigned
