Young Adult Peer Mentor – Life Skills
Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Peer Mentor! Peer Mentors provide specialized expertise based on sharing their own lived experience of mental health challenges with purpose and intent to inspire hope and motivation in a youth who is struggling with similar concerns.
In This Role- Guide youth through their treatment process providing outreach, peer support and advocacy, all in accordance to the client’s individual service plan
- Help clients gain access to recovery resources and communities
- Work in coordination with the clinical team while using their recovery experience as a positive model for clients’ process
- Part Time, 20 hours
- Flexible hours between 8 a.m.–4 p.m.; schedule to be determined with manager
- $21.63/hour
- or $22.28/hour with Certification as a Peer Specialist

- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required
- High School Degree/GED required;
Bachelors preferred - One year experience working with target population required, though experience as a consumer can be substituted
- Certification as a Peer Specialist (can be attained after hire) required
