The Row at Assembly Row, a Colwen Hotels property, is in search of a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. In this role, you would be primarily responsible for processing accounts payable and providing assistance to the Staff Accountant.
General Responsibilities- Complete Group invoicing to include prepayments and final billing according to the Colwen Standard Operating Procedure.
- Maintain Accounts Receivables to under 30 days aging.
- Complete and reconcile daily cash deposits, going to bank 3 times per week.
- Reconcile taxes daily and verify all Tax-Exempt postings have proper backup
- Code and post all invoices by the weekly deadline in order for them to be in the following Thursday check run.
- Attend and participate in Weekly Resume Meeting.
- Follow up on inquiries from the corporate accountant.
- Participate in Month-end activities such as Bank Audits, Reconciliation of cash and required reports.
- Review Credit Limit Report and Guest Ledger Report Daily. Follow up with Front Office to ensure we are collecting Revenue.
- Complete any other duties assigned by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager
- Perform accounting-related duties on a professional level and work closely with the Corporate Accounting, Sales and Hotel team

- Have an outgoing, welcoming personality that understands the importance of hospitality in dealing with customers as well as staff
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry
- Understand and use multiple software programs and be able to interpret technical data. Knowledge of Opera a benefit.
- Work independently and perform a wide range of complex and confidential administrative duties
Hourly Wage: $25.00
