National Account Manager – Business Development

About the RoleThe role involves selling materials handling solutions and providing excellent customer service to large national businesses. On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Develop new business and expand existing accounts individually or with colleagues.
- Ensure selected accounts are visited regularly and developed to increase sales and revenues.
- Use CRM and IT systems to maximise performance.
- Develop strategic account plans for key businesses to retain and win new business.
- Work closely with internal departments (logistics solutions, hand pallet trucks, short-term hire) to develop business with target accounts.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good teamwork, organisational and planning skills.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Self‑motivated with a strong track record in national B2B sales (materials handling or capital equipment experience beneficial).
