Community Staff Nurse West South Somerset – Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. Join to apply for the Community Staff Nurse West South Somerset role based at Chard Community Hospital. The team covers West South Somerset, Chard, Ilminster and Langport and cross-covers the whole area.

This is a day-based role with twilight shifts and one in three weekends that include additional unsocial hours and enhanced payments. There are no night shifts. Shifts are typically 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm, with potential for flexible working to support work-life balance and part-time hours where possible.

You will need to be a car driver with your own vehicle to visit patients. A generous mileage allowance is provided to cover NHS business, including both mileage and depreciation.

• Provide community-based nursing care to patients in West South Somerset (Chard, Ilminster, Langport and surrounding areas).
• Support cross-cover within the community nursing team across the region.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
• Promote health, wellbeing and safeguarding standards; ensure infection prevention and control best practices.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation, and ensure compliance with NHS policies.

• Qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with current registration.
• Car driver with own vehicle for NHS duties.
