ARCA Resourcing is supporting a world‑class engineering organization at the forefront of advanced automotive and motor sport technology in the search for a Project Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery — combining hands‑on technical leadership with project management responsibility. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑performance systems that push the limits of innovation, reliability, and precision.
The RoleAs a Project Engineer, you'll play a key part in the delivery of cutting‑edge systems across automotive and motor sport programmes. You'll bridge the gap between engineering and project delivery, ensuring world‑class solutions are designed, integrated, and implemented on time, to spec, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:- Owning the technical delivery of customer projects, ensuring high‑quality and timely outcomes
- Leading facility integration, design documentation, and installation planning
- Overseeing design and development throughout the full lifecycle — from requirements capture to in‑service support
- Managing technical interfaces with suppliers and procurement teams
- Conducting validation testing, data analysis, and performance reviews
- Supporting on‑site installations and ensuring scope is accurately captured and managed
- Working collaboratively across engineering disciplines to ensure aligned and compliant solutions
- Identifying and mitigating project risks and supporting continuous improvement in processes and methodologies
We’re seeking a technically strong, customer‑facing engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of complex challenges.
You’ll Bring:- 3+ years of experience in a hands‑on engineering role with direct customer interaction
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and schematic drawings
- Strong technical documentation and specification authoring skills
- Proven experience commissioning and testing mechanical/electrical systems
- Knowledge of requirements management and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- A proactive, analytical approach with a strong sense of ownership
- Experience with 3D or Electrical CAD systems
- Familiarity with servo and PLC‑driven systems
- DFMEA experience
- Direct involvement in the design and delivery of innovative, high‑performance engineering systems
- Exposure to complex projects within the automotive and motor sport sectors
- Collaboration with highly skilled specialists across mechanical, electrical, and control engineering
- Opportunities to shape processes, influence design outcomes, and lead technical delivery

- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Automotive, Motorsport or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Working towards or holding Chartered Engineer status is advantageous
