Wolviston Management Services are recruiting on behalf of a major project delivery client for an Intermediate or Experienced Quantity Surveyor to support works at Hinkley Point

C.

This is a long-term opportunity on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, delivering mechanical and fabrication scope including tanks, pipework, valves and associated systems.

The Role

You will provide professional Quantity Surveying and Contract Management capability, ensuring robust commercial control across mechanical and fabrication packages.

Experience with in mechanical disciplines is advantageous, but strong NEC contract expertise is essential.

Key Responsibilities

* NEC contract administration (essential), with Option D and Option E experience highly desirable

* Proactive management and administration of the contract

* Timely preparation and submission of applications for payment

* Assessment of change orders and variations in line with contractual mechanisms

* Management of cost impact, contingency, and commitment tracking

* Monitoring budgets, forecasts, and programme impacts

* KPI performance monitoring and reporting

* Monthly P&L and financial forecasting

* Identification and mitigation of commercial and contractual risk

* Challenging working practices where necessary and introducing best practice approaches

About You

* Strong NEC contract knowledge (essential)

* Commercially astute with disciplined contract administration skills

* Confident communicator, capable of engaging with project and client stakeholders

* Proactive, analytical and solutions-focused

* Able to bring structure, rigour and best practice to a complex project environment

Working Pattern

* Initially 5 days per week on the Hinkley site

* Potential to move to hybrid working (3 days on site, 2 days at either the client’s Bridgwater or Bristol office)

Rates & Expenses

* Competitive and negotiable based on experience

* Hinkley site rate and non-site rate may apply

* Reasonable travel and accommodation expenses available for non-regional candidates
