A thriving independent boarding and day school in Somerset is seeking a creative and skilled Art Teacher to join their Visual Arts Department from January 2026. The school has around 750 pupils aged 11–18, with an ethos that balances academic achievement with creativity and individuality.

The Art Department is one of the most respected within the school, achieving excellent exam results and regularly exhibiting student work in regional galleries. Art and Design play a key role in school life, fostering expression, discipline, and confidence in every student.

This full-time, permanent position involves teaching Art & Design across KS3–KS5, supporting students as they develop portfolios for GCSE, A Level, and university applications. You will deliver engaging lessons across a range of media — painting, sculpture, ceramics, and digital design — encouraging personal exploration and creativity.

Facilities include spacious light-filled studios, a Mac suite for digital art, printmaking rooms, and dedicated gallery spaces. The department also hosts artist-in-residence programmes and creative workshops throughout the year.
