I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure project in the Bridgwater area. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a senior commercial role within a long-term, high-value programme that offers stability, progression and real impact.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial lead responsibility for a significant package of works. Your duties will include:

Full commercial management from procurement through to final accounts
Cost forecasting, reporting and budget management
Managing subcontractor packages, valuations and payments
Identifying and managing commercial and contractual risks
Working closely with operational and project teams to ensure smooth delivery
Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff

What You’ll Need

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or large construction projects
Strong commercial and contractual understanding (NEC experience advantageous)
Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines confidently
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Chartered or working toward chartership (RICS / ICES / CIOB) desirable
