Build by Sets Ltd is a fast-growing building company specialising in high-end residential projects in the Bruton area of Somerset. We deliver high quality finishes and provide our clients with market-leading customer experience. Due to a strong pipeline of work, we are looking to engage an experienced Site Manager to take day-to-day control of a site and deliver a well-run, high quality project.

Competitive rate of pay on a full-time self-employed day rate invoiced fortnightly.

The Role - you will be responsible for the smooth running of one of our sites from start to finish, acting as the main point of contact on site, overseeing the various trades, labourers and craftsmen to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include

• Day-to-day management of construction site

• Coordinating subcontractors and labourers

• Ensuring work is completed to programme and specification

• Maintaining Health & Safety standards on site

• Ordering materials and managing deliveries with our procurement manager

• Liaising with project managers, clients, designers, and suppliers

• Keeping sites tidy, organised, and professional at all times

• Reporting progress and issues to the project manager

About You

• Proven experience as a Site Manager

• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods

• Experience in Pro Core construction management software

• Able to manage multiple trades and keep up the momentum

• Organised, proactive, and solution-focused

• Good communication skills and a professional attitude

• SMSTS or willing to do the training course

• First Aid at Work preferred

• Full UK driving licence
