Overview
The role. Within our Campus Division we are seeking to appoint a new Business Partner to work with one of the University’s academic faculties. This pivotal role sits at the heart of our university’s transformation journey, aligning campus services, infrastructure planning, and strategic initiatives with our academic and operational ambitions. As a senior partner to an academic faculty, you will lead the business partnering function, translating institutional goals into integrated, future-focused estate solutions.
You will play a key role in shaping long-term university campus strategy, ensuring our physical and digital infrastructure supports a world-class experience for students, staff, and researchers.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior academic and professional services leaders, aligning Campus Services with local and institutional priorities.
- Leading the development and implementation of strategic estate solutions that are sustainable, user-informed, and evidence-led.
- Championing the integration of academic faculty and service needs into the University’s Campus Strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
- Driving the success of complex, high-impact initiatives that enhance our campus and support academic excellence.
- Using data and insight to inform investment decisions, improve service delivery, and optimise estate utilisation.
- Building strong, collaborative relationships across the University to foster joint ownership, strategic foresight, and continuous improvement.
- Contributing to major university-wide change programmes, ensuring campus outcomes are embedded and impactful.
- Leading and developing high-performing teams and contributing to a resilient and future-ready Campus Division.
- You have a proven track record of leading transformative change in a complex environment, ideally within higher education.
- You are an experienced business partner with the ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
- You bring strategic insight, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
- You are passionate about delivering sustainable, innovative solutions that enhance the student and staff experience.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment and are skilled at balancing diverse stakeholder needs.
- You are resilient, adaptable, and ready to challenge the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
- You have a deep understanding of the estates and infrastructure landscape and its role in enabling institutional success.
