Description
Job Summary: Provides direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition, receives direction for patient management. Intercedes to maintain optimum homeostasis. Assists with the maintenance of Pre-Op/PACU equipment and inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities.
Responsible for monitoring patient’s physiological status in the immediate postoperative environment.
Position will also float to PAT and Pain Clinic.
Responsibilities QualificationsRegulatory Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky or a compact state.
- Required certifications must be obtained through a LCRH approved program:
- Current BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
- Current ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
- Current PALS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
- Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
- Minimum of one (1) year work experience in PACU preferred.

- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
