Postdoctoral Fellow in Biophysics

For the Nanodiffraction Group in the Multiscale Bioimaging Laboratory (LMB), we are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biophysics.

• Characterization of biologics (antibodies, proteins, siRNA) in the presence of excipients using SAXS and complementary biophysical techniques.
• Development and validation of a predictive pipeline for excipient–biologic interactions.
• Integration of experimental SAXS data with AI‑driven structural modeling to predict oligomerization behavior and excipient effects.
• Close collaboration with the industrial partner Excelsus Structural Solutions to translate experimental workflows into formulation‑related services.
• Participation in experimental planning, quality control, and iterative excipient screening.
• Presentation of scientific results at international conferences and contribution to peer‑reviewed publications.
• Co‑supervision and scientific support of PhD and master’s students.

• PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Artificial Intelligence, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong background in protein or nucleic acid biophysics and structural characterization.
• Experience with computational modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent command of English, written and spoken.

• Experience in protein or biologics formulation.
• Knowledge of SAXS, light scattering, or other solution‑state biophysical characterization methods.
• Familiarity with AI‑driven modeling tools (e.g., Alpha Fold Multimer, Rosetta) and/or molecular dynamics simulations.
• Interest in translational research and industrial collaboration.
