Production Manager
Overview
The Production Supervisor will be a “hands on supervisor” who will manage the processing of products to meet customer requirements while maintaining high quality standards and ensuring timeliness of deliveries to customers.
Continuously evaluating efficiencies and organization in various workstations, effectively balance workloads, participate in problem solving, and administer discipline where needed.
This position will also direct the workforce to the appropriate status, directs logistics of products to be packaged to customer requirements, maintain production quotas, maintain a budget through quality, cost, and timeliness.
Develops, maintains, and produces reports for quality, production, attendance, and scrap. Tracks current schedules and monitors needs, orders and tracks various materials including monthly customer forecasts.
This position will be responsible for all material handling & recycling of product on their shift.
Duties include but not limited:- Cleanliness and Organization.
- Leads and coordinates all activities related to assigned department.
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining quality and safety guidelines.
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains quality by enforcing ISO QMS.
- Evaluate employee performance, implement training as needed.
- Mentoring and training of staff including onboarding of temporary employees.
- Effectively communicate objectives and goals.
- Develop and maintain strong product knowledge.
- Promote a positive culture.
- Proficient in monitoring and interpreting daily production metrics.
- Maintains strong ownership over shift performance, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, and on schedule.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
- Skilled at managing several priorities simultaneously without compromising quality or safety.
- Ability to communicate with all levels within the company.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
