Job Overview The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily facility cleaning, maintenance, building equipment inspection, and minor building repairs. This role ensures the ongoing operations and functionality of the Solon building by maintaining supply inventories and performing custodial duties for both the building and grounds. The technician reports to the Facilities Manager and assists with various engineering and production material needs.

Job Specifications

• Perform daily facility custodial responsibilities, including emptying trash, wiping counters, and checking restroom and cafeteria supplies.

• Use various tools in the maintenance shop, such as drill presses and band saws, to produce materials for production and engineering.

• Perform light maintenance functions, including changing light bulbs and painting.

• Assist maintenance staff when necessary.

• Interface with suppliers and outside contractors to coordinate services such as janitorial, food services, grounds maintenance, and trash services.

• Clean interior and exterior windows.

• Purchase maintenance supplies as required.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager.

• Ability to work with hand tools.

• Valid driver's license required.

• Custodial experience and experience with shop equipment preferred.

• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
