Role:
Manufacturing Engineer - NPI & Sustaining


As a Manufacturing Engineer at Pac Sci EMC, you will be at the forefront of launching new products and driving process innovation for advanced aerospace and defense systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to production, optimize manufacturing processes, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing product lines through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
  • Maintain and update process documentation (SOPs, PFMEAs, control plans) and create work instructions for both sustaining and NPI activities.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test Engineering to resolve production issues and improve product reliability.
  • Interface with suppliers to resolve process-related issues and support component qualification.
  • Educate and train operators and technicians on new processes and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace/defense.
  • Proven expertise in NPI, lean manufacturing, and SPC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, Fishbone, DMAIC).
  • Experience with ERP and PLM systems (SAP, Oracle, Agile).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 75% during the first 90 days.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with precision instrumentation or test and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of low-noise, high-bandwidth electronics manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with process automation, fixture design, and CAD tools (Solid Works).
Additional Requirements

Due to our work on highly sensitive national security matters, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. A conditional offer is contingent upon passing a United States Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) background screen.
