** Role:
Manufacturing Engineer – NPI & Sustaining
** As a Manufacturing Engineer at Pac Sci EMC, you will be at the forefront of launching new products and driving process innovation for advanced aerospace and defense systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to production, optimize manufacturing processes, and uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance.
** Key Responsibilities
*** Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process development, pilot builds, and production ramp-up.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues on existing product lines through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
* Maintain and update process documentation (SOPs, PFMEAs, control plans) and create work instructions for both sustaining and NPI activities.
* Implement and monitor quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with industry and customer standards.
* Collaborate with R&D, Design Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test Engineering to resolve production issues and improve product reliability.
* Interface with suppliers to resolve process-related issues and support component qualification.
* Educate and train operators and technicians on new processes and equipment.
* Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and industry regulations.
** What You Bring
*** Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
* 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace/defense.
* Proven expertise in NPI, lean manufacturing, and SPC.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (8D, Fishbone, DMAIC).
* Experience with ERP and PLM systems (SAP, Oracle, Agile).
* Excellent communication and project management skills.
* Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 75% during the first 90 days.
** Preferred Skills
*** Experience with precision instrumentation or test and measurement equipment.
* Knowledge of low-noise, high-bandwidth electronics manufacturing.
* Hands-on experience with process automation, fixture design, and CAD tools (Solid Works).
