Lead Preschool Teacher

Play and Prep Preschool is a non‑profit, non‑denominational school operated by Solon United Methodist Church in Solon, OH. We are a play‑based school with a strong outdoor education component for students that are 2‑5 years old. Play and Prep Preschool is a part‑time preschool in session August through May, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-1:30 pm.

This is a part‑time on‑site role for a Lead Preschool Teacher located in Solon, OH. The individual will be responsible for planning and implementing appropriate lessons, creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment, and managing daily activities tailored to the needs of young learners. Collaboration with other staff members, communication with parents or guardians, and assisting in overall classroom and program organization are key aspects of the role.

• Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential preferred, Associate’sDegree in ECE or Child Development (in progress) or any Associate/ Bachelor Degree.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Current background check available or must complete prior to hiring.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility strongly preferred.
• Experience in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to create effective learning experiences.
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Education practices and principles.
• Strong Communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff members effectively.
• Familiarity with Kindergarten readiness programs and teaching strategies.
• Patience, creativity, and the ability to foster an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
