SEND Teaching Assistant

February Half-Term – July 2026
 Pay: £90.00 – £100.00 per day (PAYE, dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis?

We are working closely with a primary school in Solihull that is seeking a committed and confident SEND TA to provide consistent support to a pupil with additional needs. This is a long-term opportunity running from February Half-Term through to July 2026, offering stability and the chance to build strong relationships with both the pupil and school staff.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with:

✔ SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
✔ Autism
✔ ADHD
✔ Severe Learning Difficulties
✔ 1:1 support within a primary school or SEND school setting

Key responsibilities:

Providing consistent 1:1 SEMH support
 Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour management
 Confidently completing EHCP documentation
 Liaising with parents/carers regarding pupil progress
 Working closely with teachers and SENCOs

Requirements:

✅ Previous experience supporting SEND pupils on a 1:1 basis
✅ Strong understanding of SEMH strategies
✅ Available to work 5 days per week
✅ Confident communicator with parents and staff

This role is facilitated through Teacher Active, meaning:
