Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position in Alaska, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience and an active AK RN license.

• 6-bed ICU unit in a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
• Uses Meditech EMR and Pyxis Supply Stations for medications and clean supplies
• 12-hour day shifts
• On-call requirements as needed per CBA scheduling guidelines
• 13-week contract
• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice
• Standard 3-day department orientation provided upon arrival
• Medication testing must be completed on-site within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Scrubs required but are not provided by the facility

• Active Alaska (AK) RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience required
• 2 current references required: 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years
