Position: CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) Recruiter

Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) invites applications for a CAMP (College Assistance Migrant Program) Recruiter at the Soldotna campus.

The CAMP Recruiter’s main responsibility is to find and enroll eligible students in the program. This includes building connections with students, families, school counselors, educators, and community organizations, especially those involved with the Migrant Education Program (MEP). The recruiter gives presentations and conducts outreach through email, social media, and advertising to high schools, colleges, and community groups. They serve as the main point of contact for students from their first inquiry through registration, collecting eligibility information, keeping records, and helping students navigate the admissions process.

The role also involves planning recruitment activities, managing travel and expenses, maintaining outreach materials, supporting events, and using KPC/UAA systems for communication and recordkeeping. Regular travel—including to remote areas—and some evening or weekend work are required, along with strict attention to student privacy rules (FERPA).

A successful candidate will be skilled at building trust and relationships with students, families, schools, and community partners. They should be comfortable giving presentations, planning outreach campaigns, and traveling frequently. The recruiter must be organized, able to manage their schedule and materials, and work well under pressure. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and effective use of college systems are essential. The recruiter will work closely with the CAMP Director, Coordinator, and MEP staff to support students and recruitment efforts.

Minimum Qualifications
