The Maintenance Technician is responsible for incoming facility tickets and performing a wide variety of general maintenance, repair, and setup tasks. This hands-on role supports daily operations, classroom functionality, campus events, and student safety during arrival and dismissal times. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and enjoys working in a school environment with students, teachers, and staff.

- Maintains active participation in an evangelical church
- Perform minor repairs in classrooms and common areas (e.g., fixing furniture, patching walls, replacing light bulbs, minor plumbing/electrical tasks within skill level, painting, etc.)
- Assemble and repair school furniture, whiteboards, shelving, and other classroom fixtures
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, staging, tents, and equipment for school events, assemblies, sports activities, performances, and parent nights
- Assist with seasonal grounds tasks such as power washing walkways and common areas
- Direct traffic and ensure safe student drop-off and pick-up by managing vehicle flow, opening doors, and monitoring crosswalks as needed
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies between classrooms, buildings, and storage areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests submitted by staff
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized manner
- Assist with custodial coverage or emergency cleanup when required
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or school administration
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in general maintenance, construction, carpentry, facilities work, or a related trade
- Computer skills
- Basic knowledge of minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and perform physical work, including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and comfort working around children and in a school setting
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Certified to operate aerial boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift, or be certified to do so within 6 months of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
