Senior Accountant

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a rapidly expanding manufacturing and distribution company seeking a knowledgeable and highly organized Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This role supports complex accounting functions, inventory processes, and monthly close activities within a dynamic, production-driven environment. Ideal for accountants who enjoy ownership, operations partnership, and helping strengthen the internal infrastructure of a growing company.

What You'll Do

+ Own key areas of the month-end close: journal entries, accruals, allocations, and reconciliations

+ Prepare balance sheet and P& L schedules, variance analysis, and supporting documentation

+ Manage inventory accounting transactions, standard costing, cycle counts, and COGS analysis

+ Assist with financial statement preparation, internal reporting, and consolidated financials

+ Support year-end audit, internal controls, and process documentation

+ Partner with supply chain, operations, and production teams to validate financial data

+ Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and workflow optimization

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI analysis as needed

Requirements

+ Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA‑track a plus

+ 3-5+ years experience in accounting with strong GAAP knowledge

+ Experience in inventory, manufacturing, or cost accounting highly preferred

+ Strong Excel (pivot tables, lookups) and ERP exposure (Net Suite, SAP, or similar)

+ Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
