Construction Manager – Sohar, Oman Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Develop and monitor detailed project timelines, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to maintain financial targets.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews; report on performance metrics and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national construction codes, including those enforced by the Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) and other statutory authorities.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly, including technical challenges, delays, and contractual disputes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and as-built drawings.
- Foster strong relationships with local stakeholders, government agencies, and community representatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., PMP, CMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a focus on industrial, infrastructure, or large-scale commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, equipment, and building codes applicable to the Indian context.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and stakeholder expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines and budget constraints.
- Valid safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) and experience in implementing site safety programs.
- Ability to work independently, make data-driven decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
