Specialist, Nuclear Outage – 518041

Develops programs, procedures, and practices to efficiently support all outage management related activities. Provides coordination and direction as needed to keep daily pre‑outage and outage plant schedules on track. Helps the Unit Outage Manager ensure plant system outages, component outages, forced outages, and refueling outages are executed safely, efficiently, and expediently.

• Supervisory Responsibility – Assist Unit Outage Manager as required.
• Budget Responsibility – Assist with outage budget plans.
• Principal Accountabilities – Provide direction to personnel, recommend schedule changes, coordinate outage planning, evaluate site instructions, perform tasks as directed, ensure termination of unsafe activities.

• B.S. degree in engineering, scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 4–6 years utility experience, including at least 2 years nuclear experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Desirable: SRO license or certification.
• Knowledge of business and project management practices; ability to establish effective working relationships with outage team; may need security clearance.
