Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Process Engineer for the SACROC Gas Processing Facilities and the Snyder Gas Plant. Position level commensurate with experience and skill set. The position is located in Snyder, TX.
The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operations of the plant facilities. The position will focus on maintaining and/or improving the operation and reliability of the compression fleet and maintaining or improving NGL recoveries. The SACROC Gas Processing facilities employ a multitude of processes which include over 300,000 hp of compression, gas dehydration facilities, NGL Recovery facilities, and CO2 membranes.
The SACROC Gas Processing Facilities, and the Snyder Gas Plant are PSM Facilities.
- Modeling or analyzing process systems
- Optimization of plant processes and compression systems
- Specification of new or replacement process equipment
- Assist in maintaining compliance with Process Safety Management
- Executing MOCs for proposed changes to the facilities
- Writing or reviewing operating procedures
- Troubleshooting of process equipment, compression equipment, and plant operations
- Surveillance of plant processes on PLC, DCS, or SCADA
- Aiding with plant operations
- Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns
- Participating in emergency response roles and training
- Developing solutions to equipment problems
- Enhancing system design to lower yearly maintenance costs
- Facility shutdown planning
- Interacting with maintenance personnel
- Create maintenance work orders
- Design and modification of new or existing process systems or equipment.
- Preparation of project cost estimates (AFE’s)
- Equipment purchasing
- On site supervision of work crews
- Project cost tracking
- Completing appropriate project documentation and paperwork
