Junior Data Scientist

As a Dhurin data scientist, you will add value by producing actionable insights from our clients’ data. You will be part of our “Insight and Prediction” service team and work alongside team members from the Data Engineering and Diagnostic and Description teams.

Being in “Insight and Prediction” means you get to answer a variety of business questions, such as “why could this be so?” and “how likely is this to happen?” This requires proficiency in either statistics and mathematics concepts or some machine learning algorithms. You may be creating customer segmentation using a clustering method or building a propensity model using neural networks.

You may also test a business hypothesis that informs board-room strategy.

Our current body of work is slightly heavier on financial services and retail, but other businesses such as healthcare and manufacturing are gaining traction too. Please highlight your industry experience, comfort, and anything new you would like to try during your time with us.

The strength and depth of our senior data scientists and top leadership will ensure you have role models to look up to, and there’s no dearth of coaching to further your journey into data science.

• Statistical inference.
• Prediction.
• Data analysis – involving pulling data, running analyses, and presenting findings.

Educational background:

• Statistics or biostatistics.
• Mathematics or operations research.
